Dr. Hanna utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and principles of couples and family therapy in her work with individuals and dyads. She aims to create a warm, trusting, collaborative relationship to help clients explore and process their thoughts and feelings in order to develop personal insights, coping skills, and self-awareness to allow them to cope with challenges. She also has specialized experience in integrating relationship enhancement and communication skills, as well as social skills training to enhance effectiveness in family, work and personal relationships. Finally, Dr. Hanna is passionate about integrated approaches to health and enjoys collaborating with other health professionals to ensure optimal well-being in her clients.

Training and Experience
Dr. Hanna has a PSYPACT license allowing her to see individuals in most US states and also holds a clinical psychology license in Washington, DC. She completed her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and obtained her master’s degree in clinical psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Hanna has extensive experience providing assessment and evidence-based clinical services to children, adolescents, and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has also completed Level 1 Gottman training, an empirically derived couples’ therapy.
