Jill Backfield-Weiss
“I help clients negotiate all forms of barriers to creative expression and professional achievement.”
Over the course of a 26-year career as a licensed clinical psychologist I have striven to bring understanding, emotional warmth, and creative insights and solutions to clients in an accepting, non-judgmental therapeutic environment. My overall goal is to help clients embrace the possibility of change and growth. I have considerable experience working with culturally diverse adults, couples, and families. In my practice I focus on treating relationship conflicts and difficulties, unproductive behavior patterns, mood difficulties, workplace related stress, academic and neurodiversity related struggles, and distress due to longstanding or severe medical conditions. Overall I help clients negotiate all forms of barriers to creative expression and professional achievement. I also have experience conducting neuropsychiatric assessments to aid in the diagnosis of a range of neurological and psychological conditions.
