Dr Hanna

Dr. Hanna is a licensed clinical psychologist in Washington, DC. Dr. Hanna completed her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She obtained her master’s degree in clinical psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology and her B.A., summa cum laude, in Psychology with a minor in biological sciences from Rutgers University. Dr. Hanna has extensive experience providing assessment and evidence-based clinical services to children, adolescents, and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Training and Experience

Dr. Hanna is trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and couples therapy, and has completed Level 1 Gottman training, an empirically derived couples’ therapy. In her clinical experience, she has integrated relationship enhancement and communication skills, as well as social skills training to enhance interpersonal functioning. Dr. Hanna is passionate about collaborating other mental health professionals to increase accessibility to mental health services to meet the unique needs of the individuals and the community. She aims to create a warm, trusting, collaborative relationship to help others explore and process their thoughts and feelings in order to develop personal insights, coping skills, and self-awareness to allow them to cope with challenges.
