Dr. Keara Washington is committed to providing culturally responsive, evidence-based care that honors each client’s unique experiences and strengths. She believes therapy should be a collaborative and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, insight-oriented, and practical. She aims to help clients better understand the patterns that may be holding them back, while developing practical tools to improve emotional balance, enhance relationships, and progress toward a life that they want. Dr. Washington works with adults from diverse backgrounds and specializes in treating mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, and burnout. She takes a person-centered approach, emphasizing collaborative treatment planning with measurable outcomes. Her work integrates evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness-based strategies, and interpersonal therapy to help clients build resilience, strengthen relationships, and heal from trauma.

Training and Experience
Dr. Keara Washington is licensed in Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland. She earned her doctoral degree at Florida Institute of Technology and completed her clinical internship at Malcolm Grow Medical Clinics and Surgery Center. Dr. Washington previously served as a psychologist in the United States Air Force and has provided psychological services in various multidisciplinary medical settings. She has experience working with individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, and treats a wide range of mental health concerns. Dr. Washington currently offers both telehealth and in-person psychotherapy services.
